I think this publication is great. Simple, to the point, no hype and no salesmanship. The information enclosed is very helpful and useful. The only issue I can think of is that you have to read it before you go, not after you have started your travel. I guess it depends where you are traveling to, but just keep in mind that finding a trustworthy source of herbal products or herbs in a new town may be a significant endeavour.

I am a Pre-Pharmacy student, so I use the periodic table a LOT. This one has way more information than I could ever need at once, which is amazing. When I ordered it, I thought it would have the elemental symbols and their atomic number/weight.THAT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING Here is why you absolutely must buy this:-It's one, flat, laminated sheet with a three-hole punch. Great for use in a three-ring binder, or to just throw between pages in a textbook.-Includes the following information: atomic number, atomic weight, atomic symbol, if it is radioactive or not, oxidation state, 1st Ionization Potential, the electron (spdf) configuration-Elements are color coded to indicate whether it is a solid, liquid, gas, or artificially prepared.-Includes several laws, constants, and equations that you are "supposed" to rememberThat is an amazing amount of information for one sheet of paper (front and back). It is super convenient. I ended up buying another couple in case I lose the first one.You really cannot go wrong with this purchase

After becoming frustrated with the images of periodic tables available to download I decided to buy a few periodic tables. This one is labeled basic but it more then that. It is one laminate page (no unfolding) and includes on the table for each element; atomic number, atomic weight, atomic symbol, if it is radioactive or not, oxidation state, 1st Ionization Potential, the electron (spdf) configuration, and the written out name on both the front and the back. The elements are color coded to indicate whether it's a solid, liquid, gas or artificially prepared.It also includes as extra the major isotopes w % of occurrence, a few metric conversions and units, a side by side graph of Fahrenheit Celsius and Kelvin, a few prefix names, and some laws constants and equations that you are supposed to remember.My only gripe is that it is smaller print then the Advanced Periodic Table from Quickstudy. I am young and my eyes are pretty good so it is ok for me but I know that anyone with some vision problems might have a harder time reading it. But in exchange for smaller print I also get one page no foldout which is more portable and convenient. I can pull it out, place it in front of my notebook while I am working and just look up to find what I am looking for rather then opening something. To be fair I have both and use both. Additionally, for homework use I bought the big blue poster and framed it and use that almost exclusively at home because large print really is just easier to read.

✶ Husband is a self-taught chemist who's always causing my anxiety to skyrocket as he looks for better ways to refine and isolate the gold and silver in junk electronics he finds on the road.✶This is my answer to his ever-present mumblings about, "if I combine x with y to get z, what temperature do I need to heat it to?".✶Its a standard page size (8 x 11.5) but contains a lot of info. Weights, boiling and freezing points, equations, etc.✶Its a thick laminate (at least 5mil) and delivered in a padded envelope you have to hope the carrier doesn't bend (mine was creased but the husband didn't mind).✶The print quality was excellent. The colors are solid and the ultra tiny font is still crisp and legible.✶Ultimately, I would like to get a laminated poster size version of this exact thing but haven't come across one.

All the information I need are here, very helpful for studying, some of the numbers are super small, you might need a magnifying glass, it comes laminated and has 3 holes punched, so you can insert in a 3-ring binder. I was worried that the holes would take some info off, but the way they put them, it did not affect any content of it. Overall I like it!

This table has all the information most people would ever need from it. It is also very clear and easy to read. The only gripe I have is that it was made in 2002. They should update it already. Yes there are other tables for sale, but they are not this size (like a sheet of paper) and laminated. So this is still the better choice even versus newer, updated tables.

This is very helpful for chemistry classes. Both sides have the periodic table, but one side has boiling point, freezing point, etc of all of the elements, the other side has atomic number, atomic mass, natural isotopes and the percentage of them occurring naturally. Very useful.

My son needed a periodic table for his Honors Chemistry class. After looking on-line, I decided to order this one. I'm glad I did. This was perfect. The periodic table is on a laminated page. The chart is front and back. It fits well in his binder. He is able to leave it on the lab stations without worrying that something may spill or damage it. He can simply wipe the table off. It is color coded and appears to contain most of the elements that they are covering. He hasn't had any complaints or said that something he needed wasn't on there. I think this is a great tool for chemistry students and you can't beat the price.

An excellent chart with the basic elements arranged in most logical order. My last chart was from high school (1960) and it is amazing how many new man-made elements have been developed. But I love having a sturdy reliable chart with more information that I need.Thanks

Super handy for when I don't want to drudge around with the full Dipiro text. It's great for quickly looking up specific things during class or when I need to verify while studying. I think this is a must have for any pharmacy students at all levels of education.

This is great for therapeutics classes. You study the material than read the chapters in the book to review. It’s also a great reference on rotations, because the chapters and concise and only a few pages long.

When I first purchased this book I thought it strictly about climate change, global warming. Although the issue of climate change is clearly the main motivator of the text, more emphasis is placed on methods of efficiency, which for the most part mediates climate issues. That being said, I do not recommend this book to anybody who expects to read it and get a comprehensive summary on what climate change is and the evidence for it. Many ideas to improve the earth are covered and proposed, such as: carbon-free vehicles, efficient production of clean water, clean energy generation and use, and effective energy storage to name a few.Certain other things were interesting:I found it fascinating that Bill officially took a side on GMOs: he's pro GMO now. If anyone follows it closely, you might know that before he was unsure and skeptical of the benefits of GMOs when compared to possible unintended consequences. After visiting a few Monsanto and research facilities (and gonig to an anti-GMO rally), his mind changed. Most of the resistance he has seen to genetically modified foods has less to do with the perceived safety of the food or ecosystems but with a basic mistrust in large corporations.An interesting fact: about 30 percent of the earth is land for us plants and animals; humans farm about 11 percent of that dry land area; and yet 1 and 7 people are hungry. Its not that we don't have enough food he says, because experts estimate only about 55 percent of the calories we produce on farms get successfully incorporated into a humans diets.The only one other species with the power to change the climate of an entire planet, thats the cyanobacteria better known as the blue-green algae.Carbon dioxide molecules allow visible light with certain wavelengths to pass through but block the reradiated light rays that are of a different wavelength (infrared). This is why reducing CO2 emissions is vital towards improving accelerated climate change. Some other interesting methods are reflecting heat into the atmosophere through hydrosol, the name given to when nature produces bubbles in a liquid. Also increasing the albedo (amount of incoming light reflected back into space) by making white roofs and pavement.Bill's sticking points are his lack of transition, despite the text being subdivided by so many chapters, and his frequent excursions; his lack of notes; and his lack of visuals which would have helped envision a lot, especially as a young reader. Positively speaking, he has a large expanse of knowledge and possesses good didactic skills - the text reads smoothly and is conversationally toned.3.9/5

This book is easy to understand and fun to read. You don't need a degree in engineering or physics to understand the ideas presented in this book. It takes an idea which, regrettably, seems insurmountable at times and breakes it down into bite-sized pieces that leave you feeling hopeful and ready for action. While there are some futuristic technology discussed, most of the potential change would come from existing technology. The suggestions in this book are not only possible, they're doable. Right now.

I recommend this to all students, educators, past and present. You and I live on the same planet, this is our home, we must do something before it is too late.If you are a climate denier, please read, the science is there, it is all around us. Wouldn't it be better to err on the side of caution, rather than when it has caused damage to you personally?Though Mr. Nye and I disagree on certain concepts I whole heartedly support the ideas found in this book, especially the chapters regarding NASA and NASCAR.This should be required reading for everyone.

Lots of information to get you thinking. I don't understand even if people don't think climate change is true why don't we develop new technologies that are clean? It is a no-brainer to me lets get ahead of the game and be the ones manufacturing these devices.Lots of subjects, lots of information, best part Bill is the one reading it! Nothing better then hearing his little play on words and jokes in his own voice. I have seen where some people have pointed out some issues with battery power, energy per rate, and so on but to me those are minor things that will not take away from someone wanting to learn more about green energy and making a brighter future. (Yes for a science guy book they should not have made it to the final copy and print but for every day readers I don't think you will notice the issues. If it gets you wanting to know more then Unstoppable did its job and got you on your way to learning more.)

What an amazing book. If you're new to the Nye, this is a great representation of how fantastic he is at communicating scientific ideas, issues and solutions. Climate change is a serious challenge not only for humanity but for the earth as a whole. We're homeowners of a beautiful planet and he describes detailed solutions to some of our challenging problems regarding energy consumption and production.I love that this book is not just another negative look at what it means to live in a world where the climate is changing. There is no blame placed on anyone and it truly looks at it from a thoughtful and scientific view.Five stars for this amazing book!

Myapproach is safe, effective, as painlessas it can be, and less expensive thanmost other approaches!Not a day goes by without a patientsaying, "Thank you, doctor, for explaining what Ihave, what to expect, and what my options are for relief.I feel better already!" This book contains the same adviceI give my patients: down-to-earth explanations of what iswrong, what to expect, how to get relief, and how to preventthe pain from recurring. It has been proven in medicalstudies that an understanding of the problem is halfthe cure. The good part of this book is that it is a matter of fact book that tells you most back pain can be overcome with simply getting out there and walking an hour. It is the single most helpful thing I have done in my long journey out of back pain. It doesn't cover myofascial pain or SI joint problems but has a brief section on chronic pain. It would be better if it had more on this but Dr. Brown does give you points on when you should "walk it off" and when not to. It does explain well that most pain drugs really aren't that helpful and which medicines he recommends and which exercises he recommends and doens't recommend. I think it is worth reading and listening to his points. It has pushed me to get out there and go further.

I have genetic lower back pain. Read the book. Got and MRI and the book was right on. Followed the advice of Dr.Brown. Stopped anything that would cause irritation. I have had no pain since following his words.

Easy to read when you're in pain with practical advice that really works if you stick to it! Loved it and will recommend to anyone with neck or back pain! I had / have both. Currently doing great!

For anyone one with any kind of back pain---this book is a must read. Dr. Brown covers every kind of back pain in this short, easy to read book. It is indexted so you can go right to your type of problem. In the year and a half since I have seen Dr. Brown and read this book, which,, of course I found on Amazon---I have had no significant back problem. Shirley Guyton

This book gave good insight but each back is different as each person is different and I think if you are in real bad pain it takes more of a hands on approach with a really good doctor in addition to your better understanding of your own medical findings, personal symptoms, what works for you and what doesn't and your persistence to seek as many opinions as you think you need until you feel comfortable with the doctor you work with. I never met this doctor but he did do an amazing back operation on my pregnant friend after she gave birth and she recommended I read his book. I am not sure he practices directly anymore but consults or guides other doctors, this I am not completely sure of but I know he has very skilled hands. Either way some of his advice can work great for many but I have yet to find relief only because of a horrible insurance ordeal I have to deal with. Reading it will give you that much more information you should arm yourself with regardless in this area of concern.

This book helped me so much. Reading this and doing the work (walking( consistently kept me from getting back surgery. It's almost like my herniated disc, sciatic nerve has healed itself. I'm still walking. Highly recommend this book for anyone who may be suffering from the same thing.]
