More a brief history of stoicism than anything else but obviously self-published and riddled with errors of usage and syntax to the point that entire sentences are muddled. Doesn't read like English is the author's first language, which is fine, but then get a decent editor (or even co-author) to help you out. I found chapters 4-7 of no use at all.
I always find this topic very interesting. This book has an overview of stoicism in different historical perceptions that give you a lot of knowledge of what stoicism can do into our lives. I kept in mind the 5 principles that are derivatives of stoicism towards modern living stated in this book, very logical.
I must. I paid fio this and do not want you to have to also. There is hardly any single sentence which I can understand, and I worked at it. To explain, I am reading Aquinas’ Summa Theologica, so I am familiar with sentences difficult to parse. It sounds like a first attempt at AI in which all the source material was uploaded, and the computer wrote the book based on algorithms.
